Rest Day

Lifestyle Tip #1

Sleep is a critical part of health. Sleep is still not completely understood. One thing we do know for certain about sleep is that if you don’t get it, you will get sick and potentially die.

Sleep therefore is something we wish to prioritize in order to lead a healthy life. Furthermore there are countless links between proper sleep and increased athletic performance, recovery, and improved body composition. So whether you want to move well, or look good, sleep can help.

Sleep hygiene is a term that refers to how you are protecting your sleep routines in order to provide you with the best possible sleep conditions to get restful sleep.

Today’s directive is to make your room darker than it is right now. On a scale of 0-10, with 10 being absolute zero light and total darkness, where is your room at night? We want to push that as far towards 10 as you can. Invest in blackout curtains, turn off any screens in the room, unplug your night lights, and put towels under any doors that let in light. A darker room will improve the quality and quantity of your sleep.
