Recovery Day – Make an effort today to go and get into the water. If you have access to an open body of water then take advantage of it. If you have access to a pool, go and spend some time in there. Swimming doesn’t have to be something you are good at. In fact, just spending some time in water can aid in recovery. The added pressure from being submerged in the water will aid in venous return of blood to the heart and therefore aid in recovery. Remember that when you get more blood moving around your body, you are delivering more nutrients and oxygen to your tissues (or removing waste from your extremities).
