Recovery Day –
Eat, move, and breathe. Make sure you take time to eat quality food today. Chew your food completely. Enjoy the eating process and don’t attempt to rush anything about food today.
Digestion begins in the mouth and if you chew your food very well you can reap all sorts of health and body composition benefits. Try putting your fork down after each bite and don’t pick it back up until you have swallowed.
Also, try not to drink anything with your meal. This will force you to chew more and not cheat with fluid to get the food down. Move and breathe.
During your active recovery today really focus on your breath and try to fill your lungs up fully even if your body doesn’t demand the extra oxygen. Use your breath to replenish and restore your tissues.
